9dot Engineering Inc. (9dot) is in search of a top-level civil tech to join our fun, dynamic team.
9dot is a boutique style engineering firm based out of Nelson, BC, that provides civil and structural engineering support to residential, municipal, commercial and industrial sectors locally and across Canada.
The primary role of this position is to provide civil design and drafting support to the senior engineer and project coordinator team. Structural design and drafting may be required.
Qualified candidates will hold a technical diploma in drafting and design and have 2-4 years experience in the industry. ASCT designation is preferred. Direct experience in civil construction environments required with water and wastewater treatment and distribution would be an asset.
Applicants must have a valid class 5 drivers licence. Applicants must be self-starters with strong verbal and written communication skills who can work independently and in a team environment.
You must be a positive, forward thinking, dynamic individual who is resourceful and capable of meeting the physical requirements of fieldwork.
The following outlines the technical skills required to fulfill the position.
- AutoCAD drafting and design of civil systems;
- Solidworks and/or 3d modelling experience;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Creative Hours of Work: 40 hours per week with daily flexibility as employees are
encouraged to recreate. This means catching first chair, skiing hard, getting pumped up
and then coming into the office. Or maybe hit a bike lap from your front door and then
roll down to the office. It’s up to you.
Wage: $23-$30 (depending on qualifications and experience) with competitive benefits
