9dot Engineering Inc. (9dot) is in search of a top-level civil engineer to join our fun,
dynamic team.
9dot is a boutique style engineering firm based out of Nelson, BC, that provides civil and
structural engineering support to residential, municipal, commercial and industrial
sectors locally and across Canada.
The primary role of this position is to provide design and technical support to the senior
engineer, project coordinator and design-drafting technologist team.
Qualified candidates will hold a Degree in Civil Engineering and have 2-4 years
experience in the industry. Candidate may be an experienced EIT or P.eng. Direct
experience in civil construction environments required with water and waste water
treatment would be an asset.
Applicants must have a valid class 5 drivers licence. Applicants must be self-starters with
strong verbal and written communication skills who can work independently and in a
team environment.
You must be a positive, forward thinking, dynamic individual who is resourceful and
capable of meeting the physical requirements of fieldwork.
The following outlines the skills required to fulfill the position.
- Project Coordination;
- Data Management and Analysis;
- Technical report writing;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Creative Hours of Work: 40 hours per week with daily flexibility as employees are
encouraged to recreate. This means catching first chair, skiing hard, getting pumped up
and then coming into the office. Or maybe hit a bike lap from your front door and then
roll down to the office. It’s up to you.
Compensation Package: We offer a competitive compensation package that is based on
experience, as well as a group benefits package, overtime pay,
and an annual $500 recreational allowance.
